STATEMENT OF BASIC BELIEFS
Section 1: We affirm that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, infallible and the basis of our faith. We also accept the Holy Scriptures as the inspired record of God's revelatory actions in human history. Therefore we are committed to sharing the good news of salvation to those who are lost.
Section 2: We believe:
a. That the Bible is the Authoritative Word of God (II Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:20-21, Psalms 119:105).
b. That Salvation is the Gift of God by Grace alone (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:9, Isaiah 64:6, Romans 5:8).
c. That Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of God, He is God Incarnate, born of a Virgin and His Death the Atonement for our sins (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:20-23, John 3:16).
d. That the Holy Spirit is the Comforter sent by God & He convicts the world of sin & bestows spiritual gifts on believers for the Ministry of the Church (John 16: 7-15; I Corinthians 12:4-11).
e. In The Crucifixion, Death, Burial, Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus (Romans 6: 3-6; Colossians 2: 13-15; I Corinthians 15: 1-8).
f. In Fasting, Praying and Divine Healing in accordance with the Word Of God (Acts 10:38; I Corinthians 12: 9; Isaiah 53: 5; I Peter 2: 24, James 5:15).
g. In the Trinity of the Godhead - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit and that these Three Operate as One (Matthew 28:19, Matthew 3:15-17, Acts 1:4-5, Romans 5:5-6).
h. In the Ordinances of the Church given by Jesus Christ - Believer Baptism by Immersion, Holy Communion, etc. (Matthew 28: 18-20; I Corinthians 11: 23-34, Colossians 2:12).
i. That marriage is between a consenting man and a woman, male and a female according to the Word (Genesis 1:27, 2:23-24, Matthew 19:4-6) and any other form of relationship such as homosexuality, lesbianism, bestiality, polygamy, etc. are sinful (Genesis 18-19, I Corinthians 6:9, Leviticus 20:10-13; Deuteronomy 23:17-18, Romans 1:19-32) and shall not be permitted.
j. In the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to take his believers with Him both those who are dead and those alive and that He will judge the quick and the dead at the Great White Throne Judgment (I Corinthians 15: 51-58; Revelation 20:11-15, I Thessalonians 4:13-18).
k. That our reconciliation with God is personal & was made possible through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, His Only Begotten Son (Ephesians 2:11-22, Colossians 1:19-23, John 3:16, John 14:6).
l. That there is a devil, Satan, that was once called Lucifer in heaven but was cast out because of pride and that he is committed to turning men and women against God (Genesis 3:1, Job 1:6-12, Mark 1:12-13, Revelation 12:9, Isaiah 14:12-14).
m. That there are good angels and bad angels (Genesis 28:12, Number 22:4, Psalms 3, Psalms 91:11, Luke 1:30, 2 Peter 2:4, Revelation 1:1, Jude 6).
n. That all men are created in the image of God and therefore equal in his sight and can be justified when Jesus is invited into their lives (Acts 10:34-35, Colossians 3:9-13, I Corinthians 12:13).
